7th Legislative District: Ferry, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens and parts of Okanogan and Spokane Counties
Our goals --
The primary goal of the 7th Legislative
District is to elect strong candidates who can
be effective advocates for the values of our residents.
To this end we will work to:
- Create a reliable and viable organizational
structure;
- Create better communications and coordination
between the counties in the 7th;
- Create an effective, active, on-going public
relations program;
- Create an infrastructure for candidates to
plug into so they do not have to start from
scratch;
- Create an effective, inclusive mechanism to
identify and recruit effective candidates;
- Create issues statements to identify our values.
So you're a Delegate...An Alternate...or just ready to volunteer!
2008 is a particularly exciting year because the 244,000 people that attended the Precinct Caucuses in Washington State on Saturday, February 9th, made it one of the biggest, if not the biggest, caucus in U.S. History! Most people were attending a caucus for the first time. We should be very proud for stepping forward to express our opinions on the issues that matter to us – such as who we want as the next President of the United States.
Although the Precinct Caucuses are over there are still several steps left in the Caucus and Convention Cycle. Besides attending the National Convention in Denver, there are numerous other ways for you to get involved in this year's elections.
We know that there are lots of questions out there and the links below will take you to the Washington State Democrats information that should answer most of them, but if you have additional questions or need clarification on a particular point please contact me at miller.elm@gmail.com. I, or another member of the Party, will do what we can to help. Also check our calendar for the dates and locations of events.
Here’s to a very active 2008!
Ellen Miller, Chair, 7th Legislative District
